Southerners vs. Nomads (Hong Kong)
| The much anticipated 'first 15's game of the season' between Southerners, Bangkok and The Nomads from Hong-Kong took place on June 7th at Bangkok Patana School fields. It was a stunning day and the huge thermometer next to the toll way at Lad Phrao read: 38 degrees Celsius.

Phuket 10's
| What
better way to get through a week at work than knowing
that you're about to head off to Phuket for a weekend
of beer, sleepless nights and smashing Rugby! After
a quite phenomenal 36 hour turnaround in the Blazer
acquisition field, tourer Gearstick upped the anti
once more. .... | Read

Pattaya 10's
| It
was an early start. By 6am almost everyone was in
the car park near Nana Plaza. Ultan rolled in slightly
tipsy and immediately set up his kit bag to make
his sleep on the concrete more comfortable. A few
unlucky hookers, unable to score a trick that evening
tried half-heartedly to salvage their nights work
by giving their best sex eyes to the sleepy Southeners.

Southerners V The British Club
| Prior
to kick off Darrel and I talking to Carl about not

Bangkok 7s 2007
| The
Southerners competed in the Bangkok 7s at the Police
Stadium on 27-28 October. As we know, no one likes
playing 7s (except Kirk Kahu). And no one wanted
to play in this tournament (except Kitah who lives
and breaths rugby in all its forms) but somehow
we cobbled together a team, management and beer
and gave the tournament a fair crack!... | Read

Saigon HTFU Tour 28-29 July
| A
bottle of port, a broken ankle, concussion, a lost
phone and camera, dominos and a tour sponsor missing
in action pretty much sums up a whirl wind tour
to Ho Chi Minh City. And yes amongst all this there
was a game of rugby... | Read

RUGBY
AT THE SOUTHERNERS |
|
Originally drawing players
from the southern tri-nations, the Bangkok Southerners
have become a magnet for the cultural idiosyncrasies
of the rugby-playing world. In addition to the blokes
who grew up with rugby as their staple, we've converted
Gaelic and Australian footballers, league players,
and a surprising number of ex-wrestlers to the code.
