Originally drawing players from the southern tri-nations, the Southerners Rugby Section has become a magnet for the cultural idiosyncrasies of the rugby-playing world. In addition to the blokes who grew up with rugby as their staple, we’ve converted Gaelic and Australian footballers, league players, and a surprising number of ex-wrestlers to the code.
