Southerners Clean Up Pattaya
Tens
| The Pattaya
Tens weekend was a huge success for the Southerners
Ladies' Touch team. Not only did they manage to
walk away as the proud winners of the Women's Touch
but we also demonstrated a very fine effort off
the field as well. 6 substitutes makes a world of
difference. Congratulations to Ludi Lacrosse on
her 'Player of the Tournie' performance and captaincy
skills. Best wishes to Nic Stanners, we hope the
eye socket/nose injury is healing well! ... | See

Pattaya Womens Touch Champions 2007
We entered a Southerners Womens Touch Team into the recent
Pattaya Invitational Womens Touch Tournament and won 4-1
against Manilla Bullettes 1 (run alongside the Pattaya
10's Rugby).

AT THE SOUTHERNERS |
|
Touch at the Southerners originated
in 1997 when a group of restless lasses associated
with the Southerners Rugby Club donned running shoes,
borrowed a ball and took to the grass. Not interested
in getting seriously hurt or changing the shapes of
their noses and ears, the girls decided to play Touch
and were known as the "Southern Soul Sisters".
The Southerners Touch section plays matches, joins
tournaments and goes on tour. "Training",
a very relaxed and social affair, is attended by men
and women alike.
